Well, we certainly think so! A beautiful country pub set at the foot of the South Downs and Devil's Dyke. We're perfect for long country walks, a relaxing afternoon in our fabulous garden or cosying by the fire on those cold winter nights.
After extensive refurbishment during the lockdown period, we can't wait to welcome old friends and new back as the Royal Oak returns with a vast range of quality ales, gins and wines. Whilst our kitchen continues to create beautiful and inventive dishes for your delight, including a selection of traditional pub classics and fresh, tasty daily specials.
In the garden, we have our refurbished barbecue area, drinks terrace and new infrared hand wash station and welly boot wash. The kids will be kept entertain too with our big pirate ship play area and not forgetting our furry friends that are also more than welcome!

The bar at The Royal Oak offers you a fabulous range of drinks, including a vast selection of wines from around the world, real ales, Sussex gins, lager and ciders.
Please note that we are not pre booking our outside tables thses will be first come frist serve, if you have booked a inside table you are able to move this out side on the day if we have the space.
We will be opening: 7 days a week, Kitchen opening times Monday to Friday Lunch 12pm to 3pm and Dinner 6pm to 8pm / Saturday and Sunday 12pm to 6pm.
The bar will be open 7 days a week from 12pm to 11pm (depending on the weather).
We would suggest to all our customers to book your tables using our online booking system as many dates are already nearly full.
